She grew up in a musical family in rural Alabama (near Montgomery), was homeschooled for several years, and began performing young—her early audiences included cows on the family pasture. She moved to Nashville around 2019 to pursue music full-time after dropping out of college (she had studied forestry science at Auburn University).
