Vince Coglianese is an American journalist, radio host, and political commentator known for his work in conservative media. He currently hosts "The Vince Coglianese Show," which airs weekdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET on WMAL, a news-talk radio station in Washington, D.C. In addition to his radio career, he serves as the editorial director of The Daily Caller, a prominent right-leaning news and opinion website, where he previously held the role of editor-in-chief from 2016 to 2017, succeeding its founder, Tucker Carlson.
Coglianeseā€™s career in media began after graduating from DeSales University with a degree in Political Science. His early work included hosting a weekly panel show as a high school senior on "The Talk Station" (WTKF/WJNC) in Morehead City, North Carolina, followed by full-time roles as a host and station manager there. He also served as the web editor for CarolinaCoastOnline.com before joining The Daily Caller in 2010 as an editor. Under his leadership as editor-in-chief, the outlet significantly expanded its readership, reportedly reaching 20 million unique readers and 100 million page views per month.
Known for his sharp, no-nonsense style, Coglianese has become a recognizable voice in conservative circles, frequently appearing as a guest on major networks like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC, as well as on popular radio shows and podcasts. In March 2025, it was announced that he would succeed Dan Bongino in the 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET slot for a nationally syndicated radio show and podcast, further elevating his profile in conservative media.
Beyond his professional life, Coglianese is described as a longtime talk radio enthusiast who enjoys Italian food, skeet shooting, and fly fishingā€”though heā€™s humorously noted his tendency to tangle his fishing line in trees. Based in Washington, D.C., heā€™s positioned as a well-connected figure with a deep understanding of the political landscape, often focusing on cutting through what he calls the "nonsense" of mainstream narratives to deliver his take on the news.
